Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner in Birmingham will liaise directly with internal commercial teams with regular communication with the Commercial Director, to provide leading financial decision making capability plus challenge, support and influence their team to ensure optimal commercial decisions are made.  

You will be joining a fast moving, FTSE organisation who have a well-known brand throughout the UK with hundreds of operational sites nationwide, alongside huge expansion plans within an industry that offers multiple opportunities to grow.  

As a Finance Business Partner you will act as a trusted partner to the Commercial Director providing the right balance of challenge and support around commercial decision making. You will also be tasked with financial analysis, commentary and challenging of product category performance, pricing strategy and marketing costs – including ownership of weekly and monthly reporting and driving management action, financial control and appropriate decision making.

As a key member of the Finance team you will be the main source of knowledge for the Exec team and will represent finance in weekly meetings providing a strong commercial finance presence. As a Finance Business Partner you will also be involved in quarterly forecasting and budgeting, highlighting opportunities and risks to the Directors to ensure the strategy is in line with overall business objectives. Being the Business Partner to the marketing team you will you also analyse marketing activity, providing the appropriate challenge to ensure the optimal use of marketing budget, offering suggestions/recommendations and benchmarking cost per acquisition for different marketing channels.

The right person for the Finance Business Partner role will have:  

• ACA,ACCA, CIMA Qualification 
• Previous experience business partnering with multiple stakeholders within a challenging environment
• An analytical background
• Strong Academics, including university educated (not essential)
• A confident and acquisitive individual who enjoys problem-solving and managing multiple stakeholders.

The Finance Business Partner role will offer a benefits package of:
