Our client, a very successful organisation based in Kent, is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager with experience in manufacturing. This pivotal role takes responsibility for maintaining the accuracy of the financial records, producing accurate and timely management information reports for the directors to assist in managing the business

Responsibilities - 
• Prepare and propose annual operating and capital budgets for the UK entity
• Drive the reforecasting process, provide financial advice and guidance to the SMT
• Manage all financial operations for the payable and receivable cycles to optimise cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet the company's obligations
• Maintain external banking relationships and liaise with Group finance to plan and administer inter-company loan facilities
• Provide support to HR during the monthly payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment of funds and appropriate financial analysis to inform the business
• Oversee the inventory valuation and reporting process to further reduce working capital wherever possible
• Oversee management accounting and reporting activities and ensure cost controlling procedures are effective and appropriate
• Define corporate procurement guidelines and oversee local procurement activities including support to negotiations with suppliers when necessary
• Provide guidance on internal and external tax and duty issues and ensure legislative compliance and tax efficiency for the business
• Manage the year end accounting, audit and statutory reporting activities within defined deadlines in collaboration with the company's external advisors
• Manage, motivate and develop the finance team 

The successful applicant will be a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a good academic record. Candidates must possess proven progressive experience within manufacturing and be adept at working cross functionally in partnership with operational teams. Ambition and proven leadership skills are essential traits.
