An opportunity has arisen at the world's longest-established and largest distributor of navigational data, nautical charts, marine technical publications and digital products. Reporting into the Financial Controller, our client is seeking a qualified Management & Treasury Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) to provide both technical and commercial finance & accounting support to all areas of the business.
The key responsibilities include:
* Forecasting - working with the commercial, sales and operational teams to produce weekly, monthly and annual forecasts and Group KPI reporting.
* Financial Reporting - ensuring accuracy, timeliness, relevance and usefulness of monthly Management Accounts.
* Corporation Tax - working with external tax advisers in the preparation of Corporation Tax returns for all group entities.
* Cash management, including:
- Administrator on all Group Bank Accounts.
- Forecast cash flow out to 13 weeks.
- Cash Transfers - ensuring all relevant monies are in the right accounts at the right time; develop pooling arrangement.
* Administration of all bank records and other cash-relevant general ledger reconciliations.
* Carry out foreign exchange transactions.
* Overview cash movement/overdraft facility requirements advise management on best options for the business.
* Utilise the RCF (revolving credit facility) as required.
* Communication of information, providing relevant analysis, accurately and in a timely manner.
* Conducting payments via HSBC as a user, and reducing bank charges incurred by the business (including Overseas).
* Communicating issues to higher management for action.
* Production of weekly KPI's to be distributed to Senior Management and Directors.
* Monthly FX meeting with Finance Director to discuss FX options going forward.
* Monthly Cash and PIK Interest Accruals.
* Intercompany invoice clear down, look in to and fix any errors.
* Responsible for creating month end intercompany matrix.
* Any other tasks associated with this role.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a broad understanding of modern management information systems combined with the ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity.
