Group Accountant

Churchill Howard are in partnership with a FTSE 250 UK leading business based south of Birmingham looking for a Qualified accountant from practice to join their business as a Group Accountant.

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant from a top 10 practice to step into industry at a senior level and utilise their technical accounting skills, the role also comes with an opportunity to manage a finance apprentice. Other responsibilities include -

• Consolidation of Group results 
• Preparation of subsidiary and joint venture accounts under FRS101
• Project management of statutory accounts process
• Identifying, documenting and implementing improvements to the control environment across the finance team
• Provision of expert financial accounting advice to the business
• Liaising with auditors
• Supporting Group Reporting manger

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) and will demonstrate a willingness to progress with their career and strong communication skills.
