My client, operating in an exciting niche market, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for its new site located between Bromley and Biggin Hill.
This is a rare opportunity to join a secure group business in a start-up role where you will be involved in setting up processes and procedures from scratch.
Reporting to the Site Financial Controller, you will be responsible for performing cost and general accounting functions, managing the internal and external audits and for providing finance support to the business units.
You will provide and support all financial analysis including ROI, cost-benefit, modelling, and business development opportunities, in addition to:
-Completing monthly management report reviews including maintenance of schedules and databases
-Administering capital budget and monitor actuals versus budget variances on a monthly basis
-Maintaining and updating weekly cash forecasts
-Preparing capital inventory elements of monthly forecasts
-Analysing, reconcile and prepare elements of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other formal financial reports on a scheduled basis
-Preparation of monthly financial reporting
-Performing fixed asset reporting including acquisitions, disposal and depreciation
-Preparing all accruals for month end
-In conjunction with the Financial Controller, develop budgets and analyse variances for labour, overhead, expenses, capital expenditure and headcount
-Perform account analysis, for example sales tax, petty cash and inventory for stock room accounts
-Assist in the coordination and completion of internal and external audits of the business
You must possess strong communication skills that will enable you to present financial information to the business and influence decision making processes.
My client is looking for someone who is fully qualified, although consideration will be given to people coming towards the end of their studies, and possessing knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
You should have the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas and governmental agencies in addition to strong planning and organisational skills.
Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications currently being received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
