My client, a highly acquisitive business who are in an exciting phase of growth, are recruiting a high caliber Commercial Accountant to join their FP&A team.
This role will act as a Finance Business Partner to the Group and provide accurate financial reporting and interrogation of costs for the business.
In this role, you will both challenge and Senior Managers across the Group to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Ideally, you will be used to working in a large, fast paced environment. You must be fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) ,possess strong analytical and communication skills have the ability to prioritise and respond quickly to the changing needs of the business.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
-Provide accurate monthly reporting and analysis of Group overheads and Capex, to line managers
-Ensure ownership of the Group overhead and Capex budgets and targets and to measure performance monthly
-To review established cost and capex accounting practices and procedures, recommend changes and implement such changes to enhance cost efficiencies throughout the Group
-Support Senior Managers across the Group in a comprehensive review of costs and identification and realisation of cost reductions and supplier renegotiations
-Support and provide detailed inputs and analysis as required for the regular forecasting and budgeting exercise for the Group to ensure full year costs are realistic and robust
-Review and assess current management reporting outputs and enhance group reporting package as required to meet stakeholder needs. Develop internal processes to enable production with minimal manual intervention and on a timely basis
-To ensure the Finance function becomes embedded in the business and provides value adding and commercial finance advice
-To provide effective finance project management in respect of Group initiatives, projects and provisions
-Assist in proper handling and recording of complex transactions
-Provide ad hoc support to Finance Senior Management as required and on other key initiatives
