MERJE Ltd have been instructed to recruit an exciting and high profile Group Statutory & Treasury Manager role for a dynamic global services business based in Altrincham.

Our client and are now looking to recruit a dynamic career minded newly / recently qualified technically minded ACA / ACCA to lead the financial reporting and treasury accounting whilst working closely with the senior leadership team and report directly into the Group Financial Controller to deliver all month end corporate reporting across management accounts and statutory reporting in addition to developing and improving internal processes whilst supporting internal strategic projects.

Group Statutory & Treasury Manager duties:

  • Manage a team of 2 whilst overseeing the day to day running and review of monthly management accounts ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly P&L’s and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review the monthly group consolidated balance sheet related reconciliations and review of monthly consolidation adjustments.
  • Drafting the consolidated group and parent financial statements under IFRS including the production of primary statements and disclosure notes.
  • Owning the group statutory consolidation in addition to and managing the preparation and review of approx. 8-10 individual statutory accounts under FRS 102.
  • Preparation of year end management papers and coordinating the delivery of year-end audit requirements.
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the group treasury function, optimising cash around the group by centralising / regionalising where appropriate.

Group Statutory & Treasury Manager Profile:

  • Ideally you will be currently operating within a big 4 / top 10 accountancy firm looking to make your first move into Industry
  • ACA / ACCA newly / recently qualified with up to 3 years’ post qualification experience, candidates that have already moved into Industry and looking for your 2nd move will also be considered.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS/ FRS 102 statutory accounts preparation, including knowledge of key disclosures within a set of financial statements.
  • Experience of group consolidations and foreign currency accounting is advantageous
  • Possess good academics and be pro-active in your approach, willing to challenge existing processes / controls
  • Great attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills whilst having excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Highly organised, diligent and structured individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
