Assistant Fund Accountant - OUR CLIENT is a niche real estate / private equity investment management company, with £multi-million of AUM currently spread across the UK. After continued growth and recent promotions, the company are seeking to recruit an Assistant Fund Accountant reporting directly to the Fund Controller.

 

THE ROLE will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Preparing quarterly NAV Statements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Preparing Quarterly Investor reporting for relevant Fund SPV's, Limited Partners, General Partners Onshore & Offshore Feeder Funds.
  • Being responsible for the day to day management of bank accounts and other cash balances.
  • Preparing timely and accurate month-end and year-end statements.
  • Preparing cash flow, P&L and Balance Sheet forecasts.
  • Managing bank debt covenant reporting.
  • Working closely with Finance team members, and other internal and external contacts to contribute to the development of finance processes that will improve the level of finance/fund support provided to the business.
  • Maintaining responsibility for all aspects of maintaining up to date financial records.
  • Managing the financial records of the purchase ledger/payments, sales ledger/receipts and collection, bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals/prepayments, fixed assets, investments, payroll and VAT returns.
  • Performing ad hoc support as required.

 

THE PERSON: The successful candidate MUST be a part-qualified accountant with a sound knowledge and proven experience of accounting to UKGAAP and IFRS reporting standards. Ideally, the candidate will have property fund experience along with proven experience and proficiency of managing external relationships, including those of auditors, property managers, tax advisors and Development Company Directors. The successful Fund Accountant will have a high attention to detail and be used to producing high-quality and timely work while taking initiative on new tasks or developing new processes.
