Interim Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant to work with a charitable institution in the heart of London. This is a great opportunity to be part of the city's educational and cultural contributions as they drive towards their 2018 strategy. This role will last for a period of three months on an interim basis.

The Interim Financial Accountant will be responsible for the year end preparation of the charity, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, lead on statutory accounts for the charity, complete financial reports using the FRS102 application and act as the primary contact for auditors. You will provide financial support to the Head of Finance and wider finance team with organisational projects and audits. Completion of routine month end tasks such as settling intercompany accounts, posting journals, depreciating fixed assets, bank and payroll reconciliations, and producing quarterly gift aid reports is another key part of this role following the audit closure.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant or finalist, with a proven track record of producing year end statutory accounts and working effectively and delivering to tight deadlines. You will need to be comfortable with Charity SORP and have previously lead on year-end process for a charity. You will be technically strong with the ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge of accounting regulations. Additionally, an advanced standard of Excel is required for this role (v look ups, pivot tables etc) with prior use or knowledge of Exchequer being advantageous.
