Finance Graduate

A leading firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Business Advisors are looking for a graduate to join their busy corporate services team on an ACCA training contract.

Working from modern offices you will work as part of a large team responsible for a mixed portfolio of predominantly SME clients of up to £30m turnover, both corporate / commercial entities and not for profit. Typical duties will include preparing annual statutory accounts and working on audits as part of a larger team. As you progress, you'll get to be involved in other project work, such as management accounts reviews, due diligence, corporate structure and advisory projects.

The business are seeking a graduate with a 2:1 or higher in a relevant subject who is looking to establish themselves in a long term career in accountancy. Applicants will need to display good understanding of UK accounting standards, as well as a basic understanding of audit and taxation, and a wider knowledge of business in general. Any work experience in accounting, regardless of industry sector, will be an advantage. Other key skills sought from applicants include good communication skills (especially with non-finance people), ambition, enthusiasm and desire to keep learning.
