We now have a vacancy for a Junior Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Woking. This role is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the period end accounting process, in particular accruals and prepayments. This role will be responsible for accounting of all business overheads to ensure correct numbers are captured in the profit and loss and balance sheet.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to a Finance Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring completion of period end processes to deadlines including management of accruals and prepayments and overhead accounts.
- Ensuring accuracy of accounting entries and contribute to financial analysis.
- Liaising with the business to ensure relevant information is received in the required timeframe.
- Producing month end schedules and explaining any variances month on month.
- Keeping all relevant balance sheet reconciliations up to date with the monthly transactions and balancing these back to the ledger.
- Ensuring that relevant SOX requirements are followed and that all relevant internal controls and processes are documented, centrally stored and properly carried out.
- Supporting the Finance Team to identify, develop and implement improvements.
Requirements
- ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
- Have good communication skills and have a high level of initiative.
- Be able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive in asking questions.
- Sound excel skills and confident in handling a large volume of data.
- Knowledge of accounting systems and OLAP experience would be beneficial.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment, whilst maintain a high level of accuracy and focus.
