Commercial Finance Analyst needed for an international business services company in Berkshire!

£50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Stanton House is currently recruiting for a new Commercial Finance Analyst position to join an international business with a global brand presence who are going through an exciting period of change and transformation at the moment. You will be responsible for providing expert analytical insight to Finance, Value-Based Management and the Business to enhance the company's financial performance. The role will focus on conducting investigative analysis of current business performance and emerging trends to identify and quantify the drivers of financial performance, including non-financial KPIs across a broad range of segments.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the business in understanding the reasons for particular trends, including the likely future direction of these

- Analyse the impact of options re tactical shifts in segmental focus across financial and non-financial KPIs, such as targeted pricing decisions

- Ensure insight gained through such analysis is utilised in forecasting activities and business cases and correctly applied in decision-making

- Identify and actively participate in the development of reporting of profitability and relevant non-financial KPIs via dashboard & scorecards

- Employing a risk-and scenario-based approach, work with the business to produce the annual plan and periodic Reforecasts for sections of the P&L

- Support and challenge the Business in the assumptions behind the Annual Plan and monthly Rolling Reforecasts based on value analysis work

- Support the Finance Business Partners in highlighting and quantifying gaps, risks & opportunities, and suggest options to address these

- Actively participate in the development of planning and forecasting logic and understanding, including expansion in the scope of Rolling Reforecasts

- Support Finance Business Partners in tracking the performance of strategic initiatives

Key requirements:

- University degree (ideally Business/Economics/Maths/Statistics)

- ACA/CIMA Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in commercial and strategic finance in industry

- Experience of scenario analysis & planning; variance analysis, "Slice & Dice" and understanding profitability of new customer offerings

- Experience of manipulating high volumes of data

- Excellent excel and analytical skills including data mining and advanced modelling

- Confident and assertive, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with senior management

- Systems knowledge would be desirable, in particular ERP and Data Warehouse

- Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and work pro-actively
