Group Financial Controller

ABPM as experts in financial recruitment have been appointed by an East Midlands based retail business to recruit a Group Financial Controller. The successful individual will be a qualified accountant who can work with a variety people at all levels and develop and lead a strong finance team and report into the Board.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be accountable for the group finance function and manage other regional finance departments by creating a cohesive and first in class finance team.
• Managing Audit process for the group, ensuring full compliance at all times.
• Well execute the smooth running of finance whilst re-organisation takes shape.
• Support the evolution group strategy and look at both short and long term goals, processes, policies and goals for the future.
• Overseeing financial statements and statutory accounting
• Liable for group consolidation and management accounting both forecasting and actuals.
• Work closely with other board members and report to the CFO.
• Lead the implementation of a new ERP system
• Supervising the Tax for UK Companies.

ESSENTIAL

• You will need to be a Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/ACMA
• Relevant experience in a similar role with an operational bias yet be technically strong.

DESIRABLE

• Retail or Distribution background.
