Key Skills & Experience:

• Accomplished Financial Analysis experience within a fast paced environment
• CIMA, ACA OR ACCA qualified is essential (Part OR Qualified By Experience not suitable)
• Accomplished high level modelling experience is vital
• Proven Project Accounting experience important
• Extensive Reporting and Design experience
• Accomplished Stakeholder management experience to a high level
• Any appreciation of SAP a bonus but not essential.

The Role:

The Finance Analyst role will support the Finance Manager to support finance matters. This will require strong analytical understanding, as well as proven track record within accounting in fast paced environments. The Finance Analyst will work closely with Finance Manager and the wider business and may include performing audits of estimated cost to completion, identifying control weaknesses and raising and reporting on recommendations for new controls. You will likely be involved in building a robust process for producing project forecasts that can be operated by project managers and the business as a whole.

Importantly the Finance Analyst will hav strong MS Excel experience and any knowledge of SAP is an added bonus however not wessential. In the past the Finance Analyst may have built models to track project costs and forecasts, splitting costs across different businesses. The Finance Analyst will have proven modelling experience to a high level and ideally will have been involved in cost modelling previously. Due to the size of this organisation you may be asked on occasion to travel to other midlands offices.

Other Responsibilities will include:

• Consolidate and analyse financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company's goals and financial standing
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
• Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
• Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis
• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
• Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
