Financial Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or ACMA join a market leading manufacturing company as Financial Accountant on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing reporting and integrity of the UK financial

accounts (across 5 legal entities), in-line with Group policies, legal and tax obligations and external audit

standards.

The role plans the monthly reporting process, coordinates good and common application of rules, manages

statutory accounts and takes ownership of complex financial projects in the UK.    

Financial accountant duties include:

The main missions of the role are to:-

• Set-up rules and procedures to ensure correct implementation of corporate accounting policies

• Maintain Balance Sheet integrity through reconciliations

• Preparation of Statutory and Tax accounts

• Internal auditing of Company accounts

• Daily maintenance of treasury functions

• Preparation and maintenance of budgets

• Ensure reconciliation of inter-company accounts

• Contribute to all tasks related to month end closing

• Contribute to audit requirements

• Provide advice and assistance on all financial matters, as and when requested.

SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Strong reporting experience

• Proven experience within Finance/Accountancy and potentially within an audit environment

• SAP experienced preferred

• High level of interpersonal and communication skills

• Good organisational skills

• Strong focus on teamwork

• Self motivated and focused on achievement
