Job Overview

£75,000 - £85,000

Our client is a leading provider of digital and print technologies in both office and production environments. Due to a recent restructure they have created a new role of Group Financial Controller. The role will lead finance operations within the core business. covering Leasing Finance, Operational Finance & Credit Control. You will devise and implement long term strategies and goals for each of the three areas.

Reporting covers preparation of monthly management and quarterly statutory reporting for the core business and reporting consolidated results to Group within tight timescales. Lead the development and implementation of first class processes and controls in the area, modernising practices and building the skills of the team to ensure compliance. Guide the business through informative reporting and support growth through scaleable process design and integration of acquired businesses as they grow into a group of UK companies.

Develop the team members, ensuring they have the skills and levels of understanding necessary to perform their roles and that they feel accountable for their areas of responsibility and work well together and with other teams.

KEY CHALLENGES:

  • Look at existing processes to modernize them and make them scaleable, introducing improved solutions
  • Bring team skills and understanding up to required levels
  • Improve existing reporting to add value
  • Continue to improve cash collection performance
  • Create long term leasing strategy for the business

Essential

  • Candidates need to be CIMA or ACA qualified, preferably Fellowship status.
  • Previous broad Financial Controller leadership experience required, covering all the key areas.
  • Experience in implementing and using modern finance systems and driving continuous improvement
  • Track record of delivery of innovative reporting.
  • Experience in integration new acquisitions into the core business.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and passion leading and developing the team.
  • Customer centric attitude
