EUROPEAN FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

JOB OVERVIEW:

£85,000 - £95,000

An exciting company within the FMCG space is seeking a Financial Controller to support the strategy of the company by ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

• Work in partnership with the EU Finance Director presenting actuals (in person and in reporting) to the leadership team in a digestible and action-oriented way, demonstrating a deep understanding of the business
• Working with the EU Head of FP&A to ensure informed business decisions can be made and communicated to the European Leadership Team
• All accounting processes for Europe regional office and 3 local hubs:
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Financial reporting
  • General ledger
  • Intercompany accounting
• Monthly and annual closing of operational accounts
• Annual closing of statutory accounts
• Consolidation of regional results and presentation to Europe Leadership Team and global finance team
• Development of cashflow forecasting & reporting
• Tax management (tax returns and tax planning)
• Treasury (cash & working capital management, foreign exchange, debt position)
• Insurance portfolio management
• Lead, coach, and inspire team of 8

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Track record of building, developing and mentoring teams
• Passion for change & continuous improvement
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA with at least 10 years’ experience accounting in an international environment (preferable IFRS)
• Strong working knowledge of SAP FICO
• Hands on 'can do’ attitude but also able to step back and see 'bigger picture’
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
