Finance Manaqer — Outline Job Specification
My client (whom I have worked with for the past ten years) is an exciting and award winning, design and office fit out company based in central London.
Reflecting their continued expansion and growth , they have a current vacancy for a Finance Manager.
This is an evolving role. You will be joining a finance department comprising three staff and will report to the Company Accountant. Your responsibilities will include:
- Production of monthly/quarterly management accounts
- Assisting with annual budgeting process and monthly reviews
- Oversight of bank reconciliations, petty cash and company credit cards
- Oversight of the sales and purchase ledger functions
- Ensuring compliance with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) regulations
- Oversight and checking of monthly payroll
- Preparing monthly staff costs to projects
- Submission of quarterly VAT returns and assessing project VAT status
- Ensuring issue of quarterly cost reports to project surveyors
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts and monitoring cash levels
- Assisting in the yearend audit and the preparation of annual statutory accounts Ensuring compliance with tax regulations for Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE
- Helping develop and implement improved financial reporting systems Ensuring robust financial controls to safeguard company assets
- Completing ad-hoc projects as required
- General assistance towards the efficient running of our Head Office, being a willing member of the team prepared to carry out administrative and other tasks as required.
- Qualified Accountant ACA ACCA CIMA
- Financial and Management accounting experience
- Experience in the construction industry preferred but not essential
- Excellent knowledge of current financial reporting requirements
- Good working knowledge of all aspects of taxation Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
