My client, a fast growing property business has a requirement for an interim Finance Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and reporting of its
group of companies and related entities. This role is to cover whilst they recruit someone on a permanent basis.
The key objectives of the Finance Manager are to operate the core financial systems of the EMEA group of companies and to manage reporting periods to ensure delivery of timely and accurate management and statutory reporting. In addition, the role also manages the base financial accounting for the Funds and must ensure that it is fit-for-purpose to allow the reporting of Fund performance to be delivered by the respective Fund Accountants and Controllers.
The role has responsibility for audit and tax compliance for the EMEA corporate group, as well supporting the EMEA Financial Controller with regular and ad-hoc reporting and tasks.
Key responsibilities;
- Manage the month end process to an agreed timetable, ensuring all accounting entries, general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany balances and posting journals are managed and reviewed appropriately.
- Work with Corporate Services to ensure that accounting entries across the Group are accurate, inter-company positions are reconciled and that any Group queries are resolved.
- Responsible for the provision of consolidated and standalone management accounts for the UK and overseas companies, including translation of foreign currency investments and transactions.
- Production of the management accounts pack for Board purposes on a timely and accurate basis
- Business partnering with Operations and Real Estate, liaising with external parties where appropriate, to help cascade or interpret business performance and take corrective actions.
- Responsible for reconciling and reporting the Group Loan position, liaising with Group Finance in Dubai.
- Responsible for the production of consolidated and subsidiary statutory accounts for UK and overseas subsidiaries.
In order to be a successful applicant you will be qualified within the last 4 years from a large accountancy practice and ideally have some experience within a group finance function.
