Exciting new opportunity for an Interim Company Accountant to join the Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group!!!

As the Interim Company Accountant you will be responsible for the accounts, forecasting and budget process for AeroAcademy, and all accounting for the Civil MRO, Upgrades and VIP.

Qualification requirements

Fully Qualified ACA, ACMA, ACCA with minimum 3 years post qualification experience

Your responsibilities

Reporting into the Civil Business Unit Finance Director, the company accountant will have the following responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for the AeroAcademy accounts, forecasting and budget process.
• Full responsibility for all accounting for the Civil MRO/Upgrades/VIP processed through either sales orders or as projects
• To manage the Civil MRO Finance team and ensure the development of the people in that team
• To manage both internal and external audits when required
• To stand in for the Civil FD when required

Practical Experience:

• Preparation of Statutory accounts
• Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and controls
• Cash flow/funds flow statements
• Responsibility for P&L
• Full responsibility for forecasts and budgets
• Project accounting
• Bid support and pricing
• Understanding of standard costing and variance analysis
• Understanding of Payroll
• Capital expenditure proposals and post investment appraisal
