Our client is a dynamic and well-known international leisure business that has achieved great success to date. As a market leader, the business has an exciting strategic vision and ambitious growth plans.
To facilitate and support this continued international expansion, our client is recruiting a geographically mobile Financial Controller for Projects. This will be a highly visible role, with extensive exposure to senior management and key stakeholders.
You will play an integral role in supporting the divisional, regional and local management teams in a troubleshooting capacity and helping to coordinate and support finance orientated projects across the group as necessary. These could range from high level strategic projects across regions through to process and systems support for local business units.
The successful candidate will be a 'hands on' qualified accountant with a strong technical reporting background and broad commercial skill set combining forecasting, planning and analysis with business partnering. Extensive experience of operating in consumer, FMCG or leisure sectors would be advantageous and ideally, you will have worked across multiple territories within a project based capacity.
A confident self-starter, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and build strong relationships across all levels, comfortable contributing to high-level strategic decision making whilst being able to 'roll up your sleeves' and get into the detail. You will have the emotional intelligence, credibility and gravitas to challenge current thinking and influence in a positive and constructive manner. With demonstrable drive, enthusiasm and proactivity, you will thrive in a change-oriented and fast paced environment.
This role will involve working on projects based across the UK and internationally, where you will be based on location for the duration of the project. International travel will be predominantly to long haul destinations.
This is a fast track opportunity to senior management and offers excellent progression for the successful candidate.
