Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Bradford
Rate of Pay: £19,000-£22,000
Hours: 37.5 contracted hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Job Context and Purpose:
To work as part of the purchase ledger team providing an effective, streamlined and customer-focused service. Ensuring that all purchase ledger, personal expenses and utility transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with all Anchor policies, procedures and the delegation of authority. Ensuring that all issues relating to the processing of purchase ledger transactions are correctly handled and cleared.
To have responsibility for ensuring that all correctly approved transactions are accounted for and in a timely manner, whilst also working with others to develop and implement on-going improvements to the procurement, purchase ledger and payments processes. To ensure that all payment transactions have been correctly approved and accounted for in accordance with Anchor's policies and procedures and the delegation of authority.

Knowledge:
- Understanding of HMRC requirements including VAT.
- Knowledge Of Purchase Ledger
Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate with excellent excel skills.
- Strong customer focus with a high standard of service
- A high degree of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to deliver to deadlines
- Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve reconciliation issues
- Ability to critically analyse data and solve problems
Experience:
- Experience of working in a finance environment, preferably purchase ledger transaction processing.
- Experience of working in a fast paced finance environment, preferably high volume purchase ledger transaction processing. A wider knowledge of the Finance function is also desirable
