The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant within a Private Equity backed services business in East London. Having experienced significant growth over the past 5 years an exit plan is in sight; making for a particularly exciting time to join the business. You will be key to assisting the Finance Director & management in developing a better understanding of the businesses financial performance.
The Role
In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure that monthly reporting is accurate & timely whilst having full ownership of the group balance sheet & cash-flow reporting. You will also gain excellent exposure to senior stakeholders ensuring that the P&L, balance sheet & cash-flow is delivered to the shareholders monthly. Additionally you are responsible for leading the annual audit process, with the preparation & production of year end statutory accounts. This diverse role offers involvement with the current systems project where you will lead the report writing, control of approvers and admin of users. Finally aside from owning the financial controls and policies in finance, ad hoc work will include: balance sheet reviews, VAT submissions, HMRC queries, treasury management along with accruals & prepayments.
The Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Experience of private equity (preferred)
- Strong excel skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Strong background with accounting systems
