Accounts Assistant

Due to expansion and massive growth over the last year, our client are looking for an Accounts Assistant to provide cover for their strong finance function. Based in the vibrant Media City area of Salford, our client are based in modern offices, close to public transport links and with free parking on site.

This is a hands on, busy role and someone adaptable will be best suited to this role. You will be expected to work under your own steam but there will be support from the wider finance function when needed. Good Excel skills are a must as well as good communication skills as not only will you be dealing with customers and clients on a daily business you will be required to report back to senior stakeholders.

Your duties as accounts assistant will include - but will not be limited to:

• Providing support to the Finance Manager
• Accounts Receivable - allocation of cash, debt collection and resolving of queries for the business
• Accounts Payable - processing supplier invoices, credit notes, employee expenses and supplier queries
• Assisting the accounts administrator as needed to insure invoices are raised and issued to agreed SLAs
• Assisting with month end
• Processing credit notes and ensuring the correct approvals are obtained

Key Requirements:

• Studying towards your AAT or ICM
• Strong Excel skills
• Flexible and pro-active
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
