Finance Manager

Your new company and role:
£5 million income charity that has seen growth in the last number of years. This is a dynamic and innovative charity with a unique approach.

You will report to the Director of Finance, IT & Resources and manage a team of three, you will be responsible for ensuring the day to day running of the finance department, monitoring organisation performance, preparing monthly management accounts, liaising with the fundraising team on fundraising bids and building on the financial systems already in place.

Upcoming priorities:

• Select and install a new accounting system.
• Provide budget holders with reports once a month using Excel. We intend that any new accounting system would enable budget holders to access their transactions at any time.
• Integrate operational data and KPI more closely with our financial data.
• Develop further the sense of ownership that budget holders feel for their budgets.
• Introduce a rolling forecast (of perhaps 3 years) that would be updated quarterly.

What you'll need to succeed:

• You will be a qualified accountant with significant relevant experience including liaising with auditors and managing staff.

• Experience of delivering concise and accurate reports to outside stakeholders, such as funders, to strict deadlines

• Knowledge of Charity SORP and reporting (desirable)

• Knowledge of multi site reporting and controls (desirable)
