Robert Half is pleased to be recruiting a Partnering Accountant for a leading multi-billion pound financial services business based in Warwickshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Group Finance Department as part of the Partnering, Planning and Analysis Team.
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the PPA Business Partners and associated Business units on budgets, forecasts and MI.

Reporting to a Finance Business Partner the role will include the following duties:-
Job Description
- Support the Finance Business Partners during the reforecast and budget processes for the Divisions and Group
- Drive Month end and quarter end reporting, including production of a regular MI pack
- Support the Activity Based Costing process for the Group
- Engage with the business and understand business dynamics, costs and benefits.
- Research, organise and present relevant business MI
- Assist in the development of business planning models for the production of business forecasts / budgets and business plans.
- Review processes to actively look for improvements and efficiencies to ensure quality of output
- Provide support to both the PPA Business Partner and Divisions as required providing challenge and insight to key business decisions.
- Provide financial support and advice to the Group on development of business cases.
- Participate in department/Group projects as required
Personal Specification
The successful candidates should ideally have the following qualities:-
- Financial acumen - qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Demonstrated financial knowledge of modeling, analysis, evaluation, and forecasting with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to gather and analyse internal and external data from a wide range of sources in order to drive commercial insight
- Ability to work to tight deadlines within a team environment and demonstrate resilience under pressure
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly
- Confident and credible in front of senior management
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with people at all levels within both the Finance department and the wider business
- Ability to explain complex financial information in written and verbal form to financial and non-financial people.
- Strong IT skills to include spreadsheet and data manipulation skills, with particular reference to MS Excel and Business Objects. Knowledge of Nav Dynamics/Accounting systems and Corporate Planner would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong continuous improvement / change management skills
