Financial Accountant

RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a highly successful business based in Milton Keynes. Due to continued growth, a new role has been created to support the existing finance function. Supporting the FC and FD, you will be responsible for the financial accounting and reporting duties within the business.

Key duties will include:

• Production of financial accounts and statements
• Reconciliations
• Produce a monthly internal accounting controls pack, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Quarterly reporting
• Assist the SMT on a range of reporting, treasury matters and technical queries.
• Drive continuous improvements of controls and processes
• Audit and tax support
• Help to produce year-end financial statements and reports
• Liaise with external agencies
• Ad hoc project work

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Strong technical accounting skills
• Previous relevant experience
• Preferably ACA or ACCA
• Deadline driven
• Desire to add value and improve processes
• Able to communicate across all level of a business

The role will be ideal for a candidate who is on the upward career curve and is seeking a role in a vibrant and fast-paced business where they can really add value. Candidates who are ACA/ACCA and seeking their first (or second) move either from Practice or within industry would be of interest. A 3-month notice period is acceptable.
