An established small but growing manufacturer who is part of a large UK and US group is seeking to add a qualified Management Accountant to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to build on their commercial and business partnering skills who can work with the MD to help drive the business forward.

Technical Competence:
-Timely and accurate completion of month end management accounting duties.
-Ability to review, analyse, comment, adding value to financial data, as appropriate.
-Represent the Finance Department on cross functional initiatives in the business.
-Knowledge of SAGE
-Continuous improvement of Finance Processes and Systems
-Team working with other members of the Finance Team and other Teams on site
-Business Partnering

Key Responsibilities:
-Production of monthly management accounts in accordance with group requirements.
-To interpret financial data and identify opportunities for business improvement.
-Improve standards of business partnering within the organisation to embed improvements using support and challenge.
-Develop the use of problem solving techniques across the organisation to analyse and find root cause.
-Standardise and develop analysis in collaboration with the central FP&A team.
-To co-ordinate the annual AOP process as well as periodic forecast reviews.
-Assist with compliance audits and process reviews, including maintaining own job specific task notes.
-Be flexible to meet the demands of the finance team and wider business to support key activities
-Work closely with Financial Accounting, Credit Control and Internal Control teams.

We are looking for the following skills:
-Qualified management accountant with experience working in a manufacturing environment.
-Knowledge of UK accounting principles and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
-Analytical skills and an eye for detail.
-Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
-Effective communication skills across all levels of the business.
-MS Office and advanced Excel skills including modelling.

Salary & Benefits:
My client is offering an annual salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus company benefits
