BTG Recruitment are currently working with a business based in Warrington looking for someone to join their team as an Accounts Administrator. The role will revolve around Payroll and candidates applying should have experience working within the payroll function.

The role gives the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and progress within a fantastic business. The business has grown around 50% over the past 2 years, so this is an excellent time to join the team.

Salary: £16,000-£18,000

Location: Warrington

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Process the payroll for limited companies, both weekly and monthly
  • Carry out payroll amendments
  • Production of quarterly PAYE returns
  • Produce year end payroll information
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding queries
  • Process statutory claims
  • Process P45's for customers
  • Issue P45's for leavers
  • Explain to customers how their PAYE has been calculated

Essential:

  • 6 months work experience in Payroll
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of tax codes and tax code changes
  • Understanding of HMRC regulations
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Studying towards or completed AAT or CIPP
