Commercial Finance Business Partner

An established national retail business based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their highly efficient Finance team.

My client based in Milton Keynes are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their U.K Headquarters, the role will include the following duties:

• To support the Retail team with financial analysis and insight into individual sites and consolidated unit performance

• To review and report on month end performance; to analyse variances, highlight risks and opportunities and provide a clear understanding of performance to all key stakeholders

• Lead the finance change management in respect of maximising occupancy and rate opportunities through innovation and change; review of current processes and reporting and supporting analysis

• Support on the end-to-end financial process review within the hotels

• Budget and Forecast work to support the growth strategy of sites; rebranding, extensions, new opportunities

• Provide accurate and timely routine MI

• Proactive support to the Operations Director and support team, and the Commercial Finance Managers in respect of business performance and assist in the recommendation / decision process

• Provision of insightful business analysis, particularly around site KPIs (Occupancy, Rate), together with recommendations based on sound financial data

• Analysis of key KPI's to identify trends, likely risks and opportunities in financial performance

• Ownership of the Hotels budget model (bottom-up review)

• Standard KPI reporting

• Understanding impact of rebranding / extensions on future financial years

• Preparation of business cases in respect of capital projects together with findings and recommendations

• Preparation of post completion reviews together with and recommendations for improving financial performance

The Commercial Finance Business Partner will partner with Heads of departments such as operations they will be looking for candidates with the following attributes:

• Ability and confidence to provide proactive support and advice to multiple business partners

• Proven ability of working within a faced-pace environment

• Business / financial analysis - experience of modelling and analysis with large sets of data

• Analytical background within a branded multi-site business environment

• Relevant finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivilent
