Management Accountant

Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an experienced Management / Project Accountant for a manufacturing business based in the outskirts of York, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic dual role split between project focused work and day to day management accounting. This would be a great opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Accountant with manufacturing experience to join a forward-thinking business

Requirements:

• Qualified, QBE or Part Qualified Accountant
• Ability to business partner with key stakeholders; be confident to challenge and communicate at all levels
• Experience of a manufacturing environment is desirable
• Experience of foreign currency and exporting is desirable
• A "can do" attitude and solutions based approach is essential

The role:

• Weekly KPI reporting, analysis and challenge
• Monthly Management Accounts production, including balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments & accruals and variance analysis
• Completion of annual statutory accounts and liaise with external accountants regarding accounts and tax
• VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales list returns
• Stock reporting, valuation and control
• Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process
• Daily cash-flow and working capital management
• Assisting with Capital Expenditure proposals and post implementation reviews
• Cover for Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Payroll functions
• Deputising for Financial Controller when required
• Implementation of Sales Margin reports
• IT system implementation
• Challenge of operational efficiency and improve current product costing process
