PERMANENT BUSINESS ACCOUNTANT £28-34K, Stoke-On-Trent

A large, growing public sector organisation are looking to recruit a Business Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
The main job purpose is to support business growth and support corporate projects

• Maintain accurate records of all capital grants, carry out financial appraisals and provide monitoring information for reporting purposes

• To be responsible for the asset register maintenance ensuring it is up to date and reconciled with supporting systems

• Achievement of Financial KPI targets, including completion of role-specific management and financial accounts input in accordance with timetables

• Identify system improvements and implement new systems ensuring these benefit the group

• Management reporting, including detailed cost/price variance analysis to budget, efficiency/capacity reporting, budgeting and cash flow forecasting

• Take a lead role for development and fixed assets reporting in the Group's annual financial accounts
• Liaise with external/internal auditors as appropriate
