Interim Assistant Accountant - AAT
3 months - £150 per day - £180 per day
MUST have completed AAT and have good understanding of Debits and Credits
An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Assistant Accountant to join this well known media business based in Central London. This role is for an initial 3 month period and has the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
The main purpose of the role is to support the financial reporting of the group and to maintain accounting records for a number of holding companies. You will need to have a very strong understanding of debits and credits due to processes being relatively manual so someone who has come from an AAT background is preferred. Other responsibilities will include:
- Analysing cash movements to prepare and post journals
- Working with foreign currencies and FX rates to revalue loans and interest on a monthly basis
- Preparing accounts to Trial Balance level
- Submitting monthly P&L and Balance Sheet information, for management, to tight deadlines
- Reviewing monthly submissions of P&L and Balance Sheets of International Holding Companies to management.
- Assisting with monthly inter-company reporting by resolving inter-company mismatches between UK and International Holding Companies.
- Producing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for UK Holding Companies.
- Assisting in the production of statutory accounts and tax computations for all UK Holding Companies
The ideal candidate will be available to interview and start at short notice and must be in a position to commit to the length of the contract.
