Group Reporting Accountant

A market leading FMCG business in St Albans with multiple household brand names have an opportunity for a recently qualified accountant ( ACA/ACCA), to join a busy Group Finance team. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact in taking direct responsibility for the delivery of key business metrics and senior stakeholder relationships, including the Group Financial Controller and the CFO.

Reporting to the Head Of Reporting, key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of half year and full year consolidated group financial statements under IFRS

- Preparation of UK Subsidiaries statutory accounts under IFRS

- Management of half year and full year external audit process

- Responsible for monthly consolidation process and reporting of group P&L, balance sheet and cash flow

- Preparation of the monthly management packs and commentary for distribution to the Board and banks

- Responsible for budgeting and forecasting of part of the group P&L, balance sheet and cash flow

- Dealing with ad hoc technical accounting queries and interpreting new accounting standards to produce group accounting policy.

Desired experience:

- ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant

- Strong academics

- Experience in Financial Reporting, either directly or through experience in Practice

- Strong technical knowledge of the latest financial reporting standards ( IFRS & UK GAAP)

- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
