Global Property Management / Development company based in Central London, is looking for a qualified and experienced Reporting / Accounting specialist to join its dynamic Finance Team as the Group Reporting Manager.
Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller in a finance team of circa 50, the role will not supervise any staff initially, however that may change over time.
Duties:
- Production of the UK & Europe Group financial consolidation under IFRS on a semi-annual basis, including a number of sub-consolidations
- Submission of all consolidation spreadsheets to parent entity (based overseas) and responding to queries from parent company.
- Managing relationship with external auditors, and preparation of annual audit fee allocation across Westfield entities.
- Development of the consolidation models in response to any changes in group structure or reporting obligations.
- Use of finance system and excel to a very high level. Development of consolidation model, moving to an automated system.
- Technical group accounting for all acquisitions and disposals and other accounting technical issues as required.
- Preparation of the budgeting and forecasting of Head Office cost recoveries, ensuring thorough understanding of the outputs, and development of the current excel model onto an automated system.
Requirements:
- ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong accounting and control background, particularly preparing and reviewing group consolidations and commercial and financial reporting experience
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Strong technical accounting skills including the preparation of technical accounting papers (IFRS experience required)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver significant improvements or projects successfully
- Demonstrable understanding of acquisition/disposal accounting - highly desirable
- Property / construction experience - highly desirable
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Experienced and advanced Excel use
- Excel Modelling experience would be beneficial
- IFRS experience is required
- Candidates must have outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
