Investment Manager

My client is a leading national PE House with a long established successful track record of backing high growth SME's and producing consistently high multiple returns for its investors. The firm will shortly be launching a sizeable new lower mid market regional Private Equity fund targeting high quality ambitious SME's across the North and with a particular focus on the N West business region, and able to provide individual equity cheque investments up to £5m.

This is a tremendous career opportunity for a high calibre Corporate Finance professional to make their first positive step into a PE investment role, reporting directly into the Investment Director who will be heading up this new regional Fund.

This new role will involve full hands-on involvement and early responsibility in all matters associated with identifying, executing and monitoring private equity transactions:

• Participating in investment origination.
• Researching, evaluating and assessing market sectors, business plans, companies and management teams.
• Preparing reports for the Investment Committee.
• Strong input into analysing, structuring, executing and monitoring investment transactions.
• Develop a strong and trusted professional network including accountants, lawyers, investment bankers and other potential introducers.

The successful candidate will be a graduate qualified accountant who has achieved strong progression in your career to date; you are likely to currently be operating within either a medium-large practice or recognised Corporate Finance boutique with experience of working on corporate finance transactions including various MBO, M&A and Funding support deals.

You must also be self-driven, results-orientated with a clear focus on quality and performance, as well as having an engaging personality with the ability to build strong and trusted relationships across the local deal-making community and portfolio companies.
