Commercial Finance Analyst

This role has become available due to the continued success and subsequent growth of this highly successful independent TV, Film & Digital distribution business. The Commercial Finance Analyst role is required to support its growing business and ensure a timely flow and analysis of information within the business.

The company is looking for a highly analytical individual who has previous commercial accounting and analysis experience ideally gained within a media organisation.

To be considered you will need to be recently finished or nearing the end of your qualifications, have advanced Excel & modelling skills and be able to converse with people at all levels across the business.

The Role:

• Ownership of the pipeline model for upcoming deals
• Manage completion of annual budget and reforecast template
• Work with the sales team to gain insight on upcoming deals and check revenue recognition criteria on new contracts
• Manage preparation of revenue reports for major sales markets
• Calculation of short horizon quarterly revenue & gross profit reporting
• Analyse revenue by territory, genre and Intellectual Property
• Provide financial review of investment models for selected non-scripted titles
• Review format deals to identify additional revenue
• Create presentations for senior management & operational reviews

The Person:

• Ideally Fully Qualifed qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Experience gained within Television/Film distribution or licencing is preferred
• Strong financial modelling skills, ideally gained within a media or similar business
• Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Highly analytical and commercially minded
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence others and build solid working relationships
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work at pace whilst being highly accurate
• Hands-on, energetic, proactive, self starter
