Commercial Management Accountant

Currently recruiting for Commercial Management Accountant to join a vastly growing listed business based in Bedfordshire, to join their team within a fast paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities, of the Commercial Management Accountant, based in Bedfordshire are:

• Full responsibility for the production of monthly management accounts and board pack analysis
• Business partnering within a fast paced multi-site retail environment
• Able to apply commercial acumen and interpretation to analytical review as a basis for key business decision making
• Understanding of sales, gross margin (including volume and mix analysis) and site related costs
• Play an integral part in the budget, planning and rolling forecast process
• Completion of key internal and commercial reports
• Thorough understanding of the P&L, Balance sheet (including reconciliations) and Month End processes; able to deliver accurate, robust output within agreed timelines
• Continue to build on relationships with Operations and other Support Centre teams, with the mentality of support and proactive challenge; working personably, yet assertively
• Advanced Excel skills essential; strong database understanding
• Ownership of capital reporting and monitoring of related expenditure
• Proactive support and challenge through a business partnering approach to the business

The successful Commercial Management Accountant, will ideally match the following criteria:

• Qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA- Newly qualified/ 1+ years PQE
• Experience of working in large multi-site operations
• Advanced Excel skills essential; strong database understanding
• Ability to communicate to senior stakeholders and influence decisions
• Rigour / attention to detail
• Professional scepticism/ability to apply judgement
