Finance Analyst

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to join a small team within our public sector client based in St Austell.

With a focus on supporting the Finance Managers, you will be responsible for the following:

• Providing accurate financial data and information 
• Undertaking additional duties and procedure’s required to complete the annual accounts in accordance with national guidance and timetables
• Supporting Managers in ensuring sound financial controls are in place
• Taking responsibility for the production of accurate, detailed monthly finance reports for managers, including forecasts of the year-end position
• Providing detailed analysis to explain areas of significant variances to Finance Managers.  This will involve regular liaison with relevant budget holders to assist in the explanation and understanding of variances from financial plan.  
• Provide costing’s for presentation of business cases for service development, based on analysis of highly complex and sometimes sensitive data

Suitable candidates must be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and have be able to demonstrate experience of analysing and manipulating large amounts of data.
