Key accountabilities will include managing a team of qualified accountants with extended leadership of non UK controllership teams, having overall responsibility for the management and integrity of the global monthly and quarterly close process, managing auditor interaction and the production of statutory accounts, devising and maintaining appropriate accounting policies, assuming 'compliance officer for finance' responsibilities, managing and coordinating global third party advisors, supervising tax affairs, managing cash and treasury activity, operating banking facilities, assuming responsibility across pensions and pensions valuations, leading involvement in M&A activity and improving cash flow forecasting.
The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ideally an ACA from a leading audit firm) with experience gained from within a complex matrix management based environment delivering global solutions and implementing global finance change. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders in order to leverage necessary resources. The capability required to initiate work priorities and to manage work initiatives independently is a prerequisite. Experience of managing tax, pensions and treasury would be significantly advantageous.
