Underwriting AP Advisor position available working for a multinational card and payment services provider.

Your new company
Our client are a true specialist in their field, with an established client base and service offering. Europe's leading credit card issuers with over 10 million customers in the United Kingdom. Due to a period of successful growth, they are now looking to appoint five experienced underwriters.

Your new role
As an experienced underwriter you will be responsible for all underwriting for Global Payments Acceptance, Internal and other acquiring customers ensuring that any possible financial or reputational risks to the business are mitigated. This will include analysis of new merchant applications to determine if the facility can be offered (and under what terms) ensuring that all policies including the Recruitment Policy are adhered to. The role demands frequent contact with key stakeholders such as account managers, sales centre staff, branch colleagues and customers. Individuals must be committed to providing a first class service to both internal and external customers. This is a fast moving operational area within Barclaycard with a strong focus on preventing loss through fraudulent applications whilst adhering to service level demands. What you'll need to succeed It's essential you have previous experience working in a similar role, with experience in underwriting and credit risk management. You will also need to have a strong competence in key PC desktop applications, along with excellent attention to detail.
