I am currently recruiting on behalf of an award winning non-for-profit agency in the heart of Manchester. This newly created Finance Manager role is due to growth of the business and you will be required to completely control the companies finance functions in an efficient and effective way.

This role is a Part-Time opportunity with flexible hours of 24 hours per week to be used across 3 days or 5.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have complete control of the following;

  • Purchase and Sales Ledger control
  • Accruals and prepayments journals
  • PAYE Payroll and Pensions management on SAGE
  • Prepare annual cash flows in close collaboration with the Managing Director.
  • Day to Day liaison with the Bank via Online Banking systems
  • Liaison with creditors and debtors to manage cash flow
  • VAT Returns and other VAT queries
  • Modelling the Cash Flow forecast in detail
  • Bank, Petty Cash and Credit Card reconciliations
  • Assist on EU finance reporting
  • Management of multi-currency bank accounts
  • Reconciliation of staff timesheets to budgets
  • Assist Managing Director in setting annual budgets and to prepare year end annual accounts.
  • Prepare year end accounts to trial balance and assist accountants with the preparation of the statutory accounts.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • 4+ years experience in a similar role
  • An Accounting Qualification to AAT
  • An understanding of Charity/CIC/3rd Sector Accounting Practices
  • A skilled user of SAGE 50
  • Demonstrably strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • A proven ability to independently prioritise own workload
