AM Finance is working with a niche independent Bank based in London, who are currently looking for a Risk Assistant to join their Payment Services team for a 3 to 6 months contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance assistant to work within an experienced team, reporting directly into the Risk Manager and liaising with key stakeholders.

Main duties of the Risk Assistant:

• Assisting the Risk Manager in their duties.
• Engaging with stakeholders across the division to document risk event profiles
• Reviewing bulletins relating to regulatory change and supporting impact assessments
• Recording and analyse risk events and support closure of associated remediation action items.
• Reviewing alerts documents and raise trends or issues to internal stakeholders.

The ideal Risk Assistant will have:

• Previous SAR experience is essential
• Immediately available
• Ability to analyse management information and identify trends
• Capable of building strong networks with key stakeholders.
• Ability to collate and transpose information accurately and promptly.
• Able to use initiative – e.g. generate practical ideas for improvement.
• Self-starter, friendly, open and helpful attitude.
• Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are desirable
• Good oral and written communication skills.
