I am recruiting for a high profile, not for profit organisation based near Cardiff. The Finance Transactions Manager will play a key role in assisting the Deputy Director of Finance in providing timely and efficient financial reporting. The role will involve the hands on management of a team of 20 staff in revenue and payments.The successful candidate will be a proven leader with experience of managing large transactional teams through a period of change. Inherent in the role is a strong service delivery ethos as part of a value adding Finance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the payments and revenue teams in Finance.
  • Ensure a strong service delivery ethos is promoted by the teams in the Finance department and throughout the organisation.
  • Assist the Deputy Director of Finance and Group Financial Controller in the review of systems and workflows to ensure up-to-date, efficient and relevant business processes.
  • Involvement in the implementation of a new finance system and related systems are a key part of this role.
  • Implement appropriate operating procedures to ensure that financial transactions reflect the financial regulations and are complete and properly recorded.
  • Manage appropriate month-end procedures to ensure accurately and timely month end accounts.
  • Responsible for monthly statements relating to transactions

Skills, experience:

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Experienced in managing large accounting teams.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to managing workload.
  • Strong IT skills and committed to continual process improvement.

Salary to £46,924 depending on experience, plus exceptional benefits and generous annual leave entitlement of 35 days plus extra bank holidays.
