My client, based in the South London are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to take on a hands on role established to oversee the financial integrity of a high performing organisation.
Reporting directly into the Chief Operating Officer the Financial Controller will primarily be responsible for managing and developing a team of seven. You will take a lead in the organisations statutory reporting, including the annual closure of accounts and the liaison with Auditors. You will be instrumental in reviewing and improving policies/procedures to ensure the team works efficiently. The Finance team maintain the groups Finance system, as well as the payroll systems, you will be a key link for non-finance users including providing training and promoting business wide engagement.
The successful candidate will be a proven team leader with the skills and commercial awareness to manage a team in a broad, business facing finance role. Previous demonstrable experience of team management and process improvement will be pivotal in being considered for this opportunity. You must have a CCAB recognised qualification and have demonstrable experience of leading on financial accounting. Candidates from all sectors/ backgrounds will be considered providing you have the right persona to lead from the front and drive efficiencies.
