Our client is a fast growing, international business services Group. The business is now looking to appoint a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to work closely with a highly driven management team as they embark on the next stage of the company’s growth.
The Role
The purpose of the role is to support the Board in developing business strategy, to bring greater structure and insight into planning and delivery of business performance, as well as spread a culture of commercial awareness and responsibility through all aspects of business operations. The role offers a motivated and dynamic candidate the opportunity to create a new Financial Planning and Analysis function, sitting alongside the current controlling function.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning
- Commercial Performance Review: Analysis of business results / key trends
- MIS Development – Drive the design and implementation of analytic toolsets
- Cash Management: Supporting cash forecasting, understanding current debt and working cash management position
- M&A: Support the financial analysis of acquisition targets and track performance
- Special Projects: including investment appraisals, value creation project tracking; scenario appraisal
- Compilation of quarterly presentations for debt investors, which includes development of the supporting narrative
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified ACA/ CIMA or similar
- Strong academic background
- Strong affinity with developing forecasting and budgeting models
- Experience of working in an FP&A function in a sizeable organisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
