Regulatory Accountant & Market Risk Executive

Our client is a leading Asia and Middle East focused retail margin FX trading group.  The appointment of a Regulatory Accountant is part of that expansion and could offer the right candidate significant opportunity for career development and access to a broad range of experiences.

Working closely with the Group CFO and the UK CEO, core responsibilities will include the following

• Daily Capital Adequacy monitoring and internal reporting
• Daily market risk reporting
• Daily Client money (including CASS) reconciliation and related internal reporting
• Quarterly CoRep & Asset encumbrance
• Quarterly FSA01/02 submission (income statement and balance sheet)
• CMAR
• Other Gabriel reporting as it arises related
• As required - cover for production of monthly management accounts

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified (preferably ACA or CIMA)
• A thorough understanding of CoRep, CASS and the capital requirements for broker dealers.
• Experience of performing CASS reconciliations. 
• Experienced in preparing CoRep for a 730k firm.
• Able to perform the above independently and able to demonstrate a genuine understanding of the subject and tasks at hand.
• Hands-on experience in preparing financial / management accounts would be an advantage.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with regulators and external auditors.
• A solid understanding of retail brokerage or similar.
• An ability to work well and proactively with others
