We are a technology company that for over 20 years has been creating revolutionary software solutions for accounting, finance and document management for large corporations.

Reporting to MD and non executive commercial director

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

Accounting and financial control:


+ Supervision of day to day bookkeeping (business administration manager reports into this role)
+ Management and maintenance of accounting systems and routines
+ Management of payroll (outsourced) and interface with accounting system
+ Monthly reconciliations and accounts close; VAT and PAYE returns
+ Preparation of all draft accounts and information to support external accountants 

Financial and commercial management:

+ Design of, preparation and interpretation of weekly and monthly financial information to support all departments in managing operations – covering profitability, investment prioritisation and management and other relevant metrics monitoring business performance and success
+ Support of business processes, data gathering and reporting to assist with client service SLAs and quality control
+ Ensuring complete invoicing – systems and support for account managers/sales team for invoicing terms and monthly processes
+ Budgeting and cash forecasting
+ Cashflow management; debt collection (with business administration manager reporting)
+ Day to day relationships with banks
+ Purchasing – ensuring value for money and payment approval processes; direct responsibility for major expenditure and supervision of office administration manager for consumables
+ Input to commercial matters – pricing and contract commercials
+ Main creditor/supplier relationships
+ Leases and finance arrangements

Attributes/qualifications:

+ CIMA or ACCA qualified with proven experience in business
+ Pro-active and confident
+ A team person
