A leading South Yorkshire business is currently is currently recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA accountant who is looking for a move into a fast growing organisation where they can gain industry experience working in all areas of the finance function.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Control and operation of the Group consolidation package for interim and annual results
- Production of the Group bi-annual financial accounts
- Production of the Group's UK statutory accounts
- Assist in the delivery of the Group's glossy Annual Report and Accounts
- Key point of contact for the external auditors
- Keeping abreast of IFRS and UK GAAP developments
- Maintenance of accounting records
- Collation and presentation of non-financial KPI's
The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of accounting and financial statements across the international business, working with the local finance teams in different regions to deliver consolidated group reporting to stakeholders in compliance with accounting principles and industry standards. This is a key role within the group finance team and requires the provision of financial and accounting support to strategic initiatives that drive company growth with a focus on best practice and continuous improvement.
If you have the following experience please get in touch:
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- Previously has worked in practice within an audit role (ideally big 4).
- Excellent working knowledge of IFRS (knowledge of UK GAAP a plus).
- Experience of auditing international businesses or large PLC's
- Proven experience preparing statutory accounts.
- Hands on mentality, an analytical and structured way of working, and logical thinking skills.
- Being able to obtain fast solutions and working independently.
- Appreciating a dynamic work environment that matches your goal-oriented way of working.
