Our Client based in Wakefield have an immediate opportunity for an experienced part qualified / QBE Assistant Management Accountant to join them for a 12 month contract period; to ensure the timely, accurate and complete processing of bank transactions. Working closely with the on-site Finance Manager, the role purpose is to assist through a period of change. This will include posting and matching cash to the AR ledger. Reconciling and posting daily/ weekly depot banking summaries with a real focus to drive a consistent end to end cash process in the UK and look for areas where processes can be improved.

This role sits within the shared services centre and takes responsibility for:
*Ensuring that bank transactions are posted and matched on a timely, accurate basis
*Establish SLAs with the owners of the inputs to the cash process to ensure you drive the 'right first time' approach in billing. (Including depot banking summaries)
*Complete bank reconciliations on a daily basis clearing disputed transactions in a timely manner
*Highlight areas of financial risk within the banking summary process to management on a timely basis
*Focus on areas where the cash process can be standardised and simplified and work to the ethos of 'right first time'
*Ensure the cash process is effectively documented and that this documentation is kept up to date
*Reconcile and process payments to third parties
*Assisting with year-end audit and tax packs
*Responding to ad hoc queries from depot staff and management

The successful candidate will demonstrate competency / experience in the following areas:
*Strong attention to detail
*Ability to work to tight deadlines
*Flexible in approach to work load and duties
*Large company experience preferred
*Ability to identify areas to improve processes and follow these through with help from management
*Good Microsoft office suite skills
